What if there were community runs set up? Where someone can create an event and people can attend? And there can be different distances. Either the normal, mile, 5k, 10k, etc… or special events for, Mover, Shaker, Quaker, And Breaker? Just a thought:grin:
Not gunnna happen mate.
Personally, I love the idea of Sweatcoin community activity events. It is a fantastic idea and it’s not the first time I have seen similar suggestion. In fact, I think I mentioned it on Twitter at one point myself after noticing a couple of local councils and sporting goods outlets promoting regular Community running and walking events.
With Sweatcoin being an app available globally, I don’t quite know how or if it would even be practical to organise widespread events. Although, there are some organisations that specialise in running multiple large scale community events in the UK, I have a feeling that it would be a mammoth task to co-ordinate the various elements to implement.
Of course, it is only my personal take on it. I have no idea what the thoughts of the team at Sweatcoin are on this one.
Great idea! Since sweatcoin is an online app there should be events on the app that allow members to join events worldwide. It run/lasts however long for ex: a month and everyone who has the app can join in. Since the coins are worth some sort of real currency, these charity events of working out can help change the world.
I would love to see this rolled out in the U.K. as we are currently under lockdown.
Sounds good it would be fun.
Considering where Sweatcoin stands on transparency, I don’t think I would want to promote it through a community run.
I will use it for self motivation, though.
That is great idea,it can be fun and motivated.
